DO I REALLY BELIEVE??
You may have a belief that there is a God, the creator of heaven and earth that is all-powerful beyond any power that you can imagine, and you would be correct in your belief. You might have a belief that God the Father has an undying, forgiving, unconditional love for people of all nations, ethnic background, or circumstances, you would still be correct in your belief. You might even have a belief that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God in the earth, and in that belief, you would be correct also.
But if you don't have a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God you have not come to know God the Father of all. And if you don’t have a belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ you have yet come to know the Holy Spirit. If you do not have knowledge of the authority and power given to Jesus Christ to judge the earth through his sacrificial death for mankind, you have yet to meet the Savior of the Word!
The word believes is a word of action. Whether believing, or believed, the word itself demonstrates a belief by what is said or what is done. Belief is what you possess in your mind and it is hardwired in your thoughts. What you are thinking, reasoning and processing through desires and emotions, in your mind is based on the belief that you hold in your mind. It is almost ridiculous to say it, but every action, decision, response, or even reaction is an expression of what you hold in your mind as a belief. Therefore, if you do not have a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, you will not have a response of believing in Him!
Faith is the access road that God gives every person to come to Jesus as the Son of the Living God who came into the earth to complete His Father’s will for “whosoever believes in Him”(John 3:16). Faith is a given road by God to humanity to travel into a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 12:3). The Father sent His only Son as payment and to be the treasure for those who believe in Jesus. And you may ask, how do we travel this road of Faith? We simply, follow and respond to what we hear concerning His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Faith comes by hearing, listening, and adhering to the message of His Word, who is Jesus Christ (Romans 10:17). Jesus tells us himself in Matthew 7:24-27 that the one who hears and acts, responds to what He says is a solid foundation but the one who hears and does not act on His Word will not stand in what comes through life.
It is the belief of Jesus and believing in Jesus Christ as the son of God that brings you into salvation by His finished works on and through the cross! It is the belief that Jesus sacrificed His life for the ones whom the Father loved, dying on a cross to conquer death for all who would come to believe in Him. It is the belief that the immeasurable power of God raised Him from death and He now lives as King and Lord in Heaven and you! You must believe, which is an action word, in what you have a belief in. It is this faith, belief and believing, that gives you access to God, Our Father, the person of the Holy Spirit, the Power of God, and the Eternal Gift of Life now and forevermore. What do you believe? What are your ways, your decisions, thoughts, and your actions? Do you believe(move of action) in Jesus Christ? Or do you just have a belief?
It is only in the belief of Jesus does your life demonstrate what you have come to know as truth in your heart! And by the Word of God, it is in this Faith, belief and believing, are we saved! Do you believe God? Does your daily seeking of God demonstrate your belief in Jesus? Are you on the road, the path of Faith? We are saved by grace through faith! (Ephesians 2:8). The only way to the Father and all He has for us must be to travel through the way of Jesus and in His truth (John 14:16).
